Power Washing and Roof Cleaning Forum

This house with its bushes and charming flower bed with a white fence around it would have really nice curb appeal if it wasn’t for those dirty black steaks on the roof. When looking at the landscaping and front of the house, one cannot help but be distracted by that darn roof! For the rest of the story and...

Over the last couple of years I've wanted to attend this event ( http://pw-seminar.com/ ) but circumstances beyond my control prevented me from doing so. It's about 1/2 south of Stroudsburg in Bethlehem so I'm making it this year. Anybody else interested. One of my suppliers(ACR Products) is spons...

If you own a water fed pole you should seriously consider these two upgrades to your water fed pole.

A little pure water 101 for those thinking about getting into water fed pole window cleaning. There are two basic ways to purify your water. Deionized resin or multi stage filtration. Each has pros and cons. With few exceptions deionized resin systems (DI) are practical with source water readings o...

I clean interior breeze ways of large Condiminiums.. We are currently using squeegees to push the water. I need to vacuum the water and remove it. Not reclaim it. Need suggestions. Sirocco surface cleaner and vacuume or just a big vacuume?

I'm wondering the origin of the "Algae Growth Map" I see on a lot of websites. I'd like to use it if it's reliable research, so I was wondering who published it and where to get a copy without just grabbing it off Google. I've seen a couple of versions. Here's one if you haven't seen it.

Liberty SoftWash took this KEC over two weeks and the last company did a cleaning. We arrived to look at the hood and estimate it and noticed the system dripping grease when the owners came in to prep for their shift. When we were hired we open up the system and began scraping it down to bare metal. Liberty...

Found this for mounting some tools

Anyone look into posting through dark posts on Facebook?

Do you live in Southern Maryland? Do you have those ugly black stains on your roof? Are you wondering if a roof cleaning is an option to replacing it? A new roof is a lot of money. Our non pressure roof cleaning method is priced at around 10% of replacing it. The results are immediate! I'll put a before an...

So with the last couple of nice days I decided to remove the back seat of my f250 and build a platform. This will allow me to carry more containers inside bins and I will be installing an eye wash station and first aid kit on the Passenger side. On the drivers side I will be installing a bin for paperwork and...

From a performance standpoint,.how do these two pumps compare. With proper installation of both being taken into account. IF,.. you've used both,..which do you prefer. Seems like the 5850 is as popular as the Fat Boy for daily,.. normal use? I have used the All-Flo for the past several years,.....

Im looking for a good solution for customer reminders. Something I could add to a trifold and put in the mail. Maybe a sheet full where I can cut them out and fill in the blank. Example. Last year we cleaned your home's exterior on___________. We removed the dirt, mold cobwebs and bug deposits. If you wou...

I was thinking about purchasing the 1/2 Kuri Tec blue hose (maybe 200 ft) I know the yellow can handle more pressure but it is more expensive. Do you think I would regret buying the blue Kuri tec? Did some searching but really couldnt find out the diffrences besides psi. Thank You!

I have ordered my equipment. Should hopefully have it in a week or so. I've got my logo designed. and waiting on business cards... Huge Thanks to Doug at CAJUN SOFTWASH. He's taken time out of his busy day to give me some pointers and sales pitch ideas, on several occasions over the past couple weeks. I c...

Is anyone using 1 inch spiral hose from SH tank, to battery powered pump? I need to build a softwash setup, and need to know what diameter hose to use on the inlet side of the pump. And if you are using 1 inch hose, what is the best way to reduce it to 1/2 inch for inlet on pump? Thank you!

I'm bidding on an apartment complex to PW the walls in breezeway - hardibacker siding. They want to repaint the hardi and the painter doesn't want to PW. What do you guys use for soap to prep for paint. Mostly dust and some oils from skin contact going up the stairs.

Revolutionizing the Softwash world- I don't want to give too much information away without the blessings of the manufacturer and the inventor, but I understand there is a new product that's going to be unveiled and Charleston that will change the way we Softwash. all I'm at liberty to say is....im...

I was hoping to find enough in my startup budget to buy a work truck but it doesn't look like I can afford anything I would want right now. I can get a new single axle open trailer (5.5x10) for $1200 or a used 6x12 enclosed tandem axle (real dirty but not dented) for $2500. I'd really prefer to use the open tr...

I got some great advice for you guys when installing a new 12V pump. I installed a new 12V pump on that skid...to say the least what a pain in the azz it was for me. It took a good half hour to forty minutes getting my hand a wrench behind the tank and getting the bolts through the hole. ( by the way Art's swap out...

I was doing some research to shoot down the franchise boys with their pressure washers and push to sell their products. This EPA document has some good stuff in it.

This is a roof cleaning we did in St. Marys county Maryland, last year? If I could get some thumbs up and views on youtube, that would be great, and I'll return the favor.

Hooking up flojet 7gpm 80 psi to a skid. The flojet has the negative ground wire going Internally to the bas of the pump with there are A positive and negative post...so I assume it is internally to the negative post. It has a red positive wire available on the outside...I want to hook it up to the switch wh...

does anyone know where I can get a flo control system for a 3/4 cubic foot Di tank? It regulates the flow of water where I can slow down to 1/2 gal per minute to conserve my tanks.

I got this app recently and thought some here would like it. So far it works well. After you install it you can fine tune the settings on the desktop when you log in. MileIQ

In a different thread, we were discussing naming a company. Tim Asselton alluded to this, but I thought I would expound on it. When You settle on a name, lock up your domain ASAP, and also LOCK UP other other similar domains. Otherwise competitors may swoop in and grab them and have them redirected to th...

Equipment ordered, LLC in the works. Brainstorming name. Here's my question. .. Is the term SOFT WASHING trade marked by soft wash systems and AC? Can it be used in a business name? Or must you be in the network? Just curious as to why there seem to be more "exterior cleaners " then "...
