We received an inquiry from a stressed out homeowner. Her insurance adjuster just inspected her roof which was infected with algae, moss and lichen. The adjuster informed the owner that she had two weeks to remedy or replace the roof or else they would cancel her insurance policy. We successfully cl...
This is a big shout out to one of your own, Ray Burke (Fair Dinkum Champion) Ray recently took time out of probably the busiest week of the year to entertain, educate and enlighten my wife and I in Tallahassee Florida. Both Ray and wife Tonya made us feel so welcome and shared their great knowledge and ke...
The homeowners of this Cascade MI home called Roof Cleaner of Grand Rapids because they were sick of looking at the stains on the roof that the acid rain caused, they wanted to know if there was anything that could be done to clean the shingles, or would they have to have a roof replacement done. After a li...
Hi everyoneI just ordered my new pump setup from Pressure Tek, 5850 Kuritec kit with accumulator and pump in a box. Cheap shipping.Getting excited, I spoke with local real estate offices and they are quite interested in what I have to offer. Gene
We recently generated a Brochure and did a letter box drop in our local area. Whilst we didn't drop a lot of money into the program it was still enough to warrant some return. The bottom line is I have got nothing from the brochure drop. What do you find is your best advertising method. What gets best &q...
I've heard several people saying they use different size tips for roof cleaning and the sizes have been all over the place. I'm using the four banger that comes with the double pump system from he PWS and I bought 0020, 1520, 3020, 5020 as suggested by an awesome soft washer. So, what do you use and why......
I have begun to notice more than a few homes in and around my area that are having another layer of shingles applied over the top of shingles that are covered in black streaks, moss and lichen. I would think that this is going to cause the new shingles to degrade at a much quicker pace, not sure why any roofi...

I am looking for some assistance with getting my mix right. I am using 10% SH and adding a masking agent which is lemon scented. I am also using a Ammonyx Lo as a base surfactant but feel the mix is still too liquid as I am seeing a lot of run off when applying to roofs. Ideally I would like it to be a bit thicker...
With hot and humid summers here in New England and looking at all the black stained roofs, (basically if the roofs arent new within a year or 2 they are stained with algae) roof cleaning is a fairly new trade. Im just wondering why it took so long to show up here? I think right now is the perfect time to inves...
Hello all. I'm a bit new at all this so I appreciate in advance the patience. Or should I say G'day. I am trying to find a one size fits all temporary anchor system for metal and cement/terracotta tile roofs. I have seen a product called EDGElok that suits metal roofs but does not mention tile roof system...
January Roof Cleaning? Sounds impossible? Even though we are in Florida it get's pretty darn cold here in the Panhandle of northern Florida, also classified as Southern Georgia. We can still knock out a few jobs and here is a testimonial after we did a roof and house exterior Soft Wash after waiting un...
This morning, NBC's Today Show featured an investigative report on the risk of plastic gas can explosions. Considering that many of our readers use gas cans regularly, we felt it was important to pass along. The report has found that nearly a dozen deaths and 1,200 injuries due to plastic gas can exp...
Anyone try this pump? Chris Tucker mentioned a while back on RCIA. I am a believer in the All-Flo,..tough to beat,..no doubt about it. But I may buy one of these $98.00 Versa-Matics and see how it works,..can always be a backup if nothing else,..for $98.00 worth a chance and maybe be a good alternative t...
How many of you are bonded and how many times a year are you asked if you are bonded? I looked it up and it's pretty inexpensive and one job will pay for a few years of being bonded but just find it a bit odd that all of a sudden I am getting questioned by residential customers if I am bonded or not. I can understa...
The hard water spots on my truck get old. I also don't like getting them on the homeowners windows. what suggestions do guys have for easily and functionally rinsing stuff. I know AC sells stuff he calls a finishing rinse. I just got some Limonene from Bob I will try. I remember some saying they use jet dr...
I thought my season was over because of the temps and because I haven't booked a job this whole month. Now I have 6 Roof cleanings and 2 house washes to try to get done. Why do people wait until the last minute I could have used this work in the beginning of the month.
We annually clean the "marshmallow" for the city of Tallahassee. This is a inflated structure that is erected in November and covers an Olympic sized swimming pool at one of our city parks. The interior mildews very badly during the season when it is stored. We clean it up and make it prett...
I recently purchased two 65 gallon horizontal leg tanks and wondering if anyone has had any issues like I just came across. The numbers on the bulkhead do not match. One tank has the 65 Gal. mark on the very top of the bulkhead and the other tank, the 65 Gal. mark is 3" below the other. The numbers are p...
This Delavan 5850 still amazes me. The roof peak might not look that high from the video but it's pretty darn high and this old dog (the pump not me) can still hit those hard to reach places. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-H4Dmpaq0s
This was an interesting job. Roof material is an imported English slate. Very fragile and delicate, as you can see by the broken tiles on the roof ( previous damage, not from us). Each tile is affixed by only two copper nails, so tiles have a tendency to shift around underfoot, plus they are naturally sl...
I had passed a home in my neighborhood everyday with a dirty roof. I put a few cards in the mailbox over like two years and one day I noticed it was clean. I could'nt believe it, I had to stop and talk to the homeowner and ask why. I knocked at the door and introduced myself,I told him I noticed he had his roof cl...
Anyone know who runs this directory? I've submitted application a few times but no one ever got back to me. so, I was curious who keeps flagging my ap.
I know it won't stand up to every day roof cleaning or house washin Soft Washing mix for ever but it just might last a season for a newbie or weekend warrior. Hell, even to roll garden hose to water down vegetation or even roll up pressure cleaning hose! Not a bad little rig for $80 http://www.homedepot.c...
